Friendship

As I type, my shoulders are a little sore. That's a good thing, though! My dear friend, Sharon, gave me a special gift yesterday. We were trying to schedule a day to get together for some food and fellowship, and she had other ideas. She gave me her massage appt! The young lady who gave the massage did a wonderful job. She focused on the areas where I seem to hold my stress - shoulders, neck and jaw. WOW! I really do not mind being sore, the benefits were so great! I wish I were there in my own life. I want to be able to shout from the mountain top, "I don't mind the trials - the benefits have been so great!" All things work together for good to them who love God and are called according to His purpose. I have been taught this truth all my life, how have I lost sight of it? Oops! This blog is supposed to be about friendship!

Another special friend I have is Beth! Our paths have crossed many times over the years, and I cherish our friendship. Her presence in my life during this time has been so valuable to me. She sends me cards and emails, and each one seems to arrive at just the right moment. One night when despair reach a painful depth, she was there for me. I spent a few hours at her home, and she listened and did not judge. I drew strength from her, and she was a real encourager!

I have titled this blog, a beautiful new beginning. The beginning is still my goal. Thanks for listening!
