Happy Thanksgiving! I sit here and realize how very much I have to be thankful for.....really. I have parents who love each other so much that even after 57 years they like to cuddle! They tenderly watch over the other - each one caring for the needs of the other to the best of their ability. Each one taking me aside and asking that I pray for the other and their unique needs. They leave a legacy to their children of putting God first, family second and career third. I am so grateful that they kept their priorities in order throughout their 57 years. I am thankful for their example of faith so deeply rooted, that even in my darkest hour "I knew that I knew that I knew" that God loved me and had not abandoned me. I clung to the faith they helped to instill in me. It was that upbringing that allowed me to reach out for help from the church and from my heavenly father, even when I found life a very unattractive option.
They would be the first to remind me that they are not perfect. I actually realize that, but my heart still overflows with Thanksgiving for all they are, they way they love, and for the God they serve.
I love you mom and dad!
