Ephesians 5:20 - Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything....
I give thanks...
My heart overflows with thankfulness today as it should every day! God has protected my sister-in-law, Melodie, during a very serious automobile accident on Saturday. She received several stitches to repair a cut over her right eye and is sore and bruised other places. As you can see, her injuries could have been much more severe. I rejoice that she is alive, and I pray for a quick recovery from her injuries.
I give thanks.....
Got a wonderful phone message while we were at church! I am a Great Aunt again! My brother Paul and his wife Linda became grandparent's a little before 9:00 am on Sunday morning! On my husband's side I have been a great Aunt since about the time we got married. With the birth of little Ava Leigh Duncan - I am once again a Great Aunt! My parent's are great grandparents for the second time. The first time was when Josh married Jennifer and brought us little Erin! I hope to get up to Lenoir sometime soon to see little Ava! Congratulations to Jonathan and Jennifer! I will try to post a picture as soon as they send me one.
I give thanks...
that I am witnessing the process of restoration in my own heart and in my own family.
I give thanks...
that our church has a wonderful interim Pastor in John Setchfield. I am so pleased with his leadership and his Godly instruction from the Word of God.
I give thanks...
that our former pastor and his family were able to sell their home here and get settled in Lincolnton as they continue their ministry there.
Launch into this week with a grateful heart. As the familiar chorus reminds us, "Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks that He's given Jesus Christ for us!" That is a reason to be thankful every day!
