I'm Back!

Do not know why I haven't written, except that June has been busy!

Here are some highlights!
June 1 - My father turned 79 and I attended a party for the graduates in our church, special to me since they were all part of the youth group I worked along side at Kerr Memorial
June 2 - Mom and Dad celebrated their 57th
June 6 - I attended the funeral of a dear friend - Margaret Cox - who I worked with for 12 years on the MACEA committee
June 8 - I attended the luncheon honoring the graduates of our church: Amanda-college, Jay, Adam, Melia, Blake, Kayla
June 9 - we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary for which we are very grateful-see my beautiful roses!

June 10 - the last day of the school year
June 11 - Matt started his summer job with LifeWater Designs, AquaScape Design-it is tough outside work, but he seems to be enjoying it. He works with Scott Barfield, a deacon at our church.
June 12 - Michael's 15th birthday, J.R. took he and his buddies to see a crazy move, the evening completed with pizza, ice cream and cake
June 13 - I attended Mt. Pleasant High School graduation
June 14 - Lee and Anne Queen arrived early to take the boys fishing in their new boat the "Miss Anne", we finished the day at their house to eat fish and celebrate all three of the boys birthdays
June 15 - Father's Day Robbie came over and we went to lunch at Costello's - an out of the way restaurant that was not crowded or noisy
June 16 - mom and dad arrived for an overnight visit on their way north
June 18 - attended a lunch to say goodbye to 4 co-workers - 2 are leaving our school system, and 2 are moving out of the Middle School department that I work with.

Today is June 19th. I am tired and still trying to recover from bronchitis. On Sunday, Matt and David leave for camp at the beach. J.R., Michael and I will go to the Beach on Thursday, pick up the others on Friday and stay until Sunday. On June 24th I will have dinner with a friend and report to the hospital at 8:00 pm for a sleep study. It is my hope that we will find some answers about why my depression lingers and symptoms persist. The doctor is investigating whether sleep depravation may be the culprit (J.R. has been eye witness to my apnea and is the one who encouraged me to meet with the ENT doc). Pray with us about this.

I am reading in Isaiah - not sure why, just trying some bibliotherapy. In Chapter 66, I am drawn to the words about comfort.

Peace....

Congratulations on your anniversary. The folks arrive and left on time. I head to Chicago tomorrow for General Conference. Say hi to everyone in your family for me.
