Bethany, you need to go to the doctor!

I have finally succombed to the advice of my friends and family! I have a 3:15 appt. with our family physician. I have been sick for three weeks. I waited about a week before I went to the doctor on Friday October 3rd. She gave me antibiotics and a high powered cough syrup, but just wasn't sure I was that sick (lungs were fine, ears were fine, just a lot of drainage). Sooooo....I did not fill the perscriptions. I stayed sick all weekend and when I arrived at work on Monday, a co-worker called in that she had pneumonia and would be out for a while. That night I filled my antibiotic. The antibiotic was gone on Friday the 10th, but when I called to tell them I still did not feel well, if anything I felt worse, they said to wait, that my antibiotics would be in my system for another 7 days. I awoke this morning with a very distinctive sinus headache and the other symptoms remain - coughing, ear pressure and pain, tiredness, drainage, headache. Needless to say, they will see me at 3:15! People are so relieved - they probably haven't wanted to be around me during these three weeks....

Yesterday we took Michael to the orthodontist and tomorrow we take David to his doctor. We are staying busy as usual. I have discovered facebook and have enjoyed introducing Matt and Mike to it. They have reunited with old friends and have enjoyed interacting with family they might not otherwise talk to. It's been fun to watch. David is preparing to try out for the school wrestling team, and Michael has decided to try out for football next year.

My friend Rhonda Ervin, has been nursing her son Tyler back from a serious football injury. It is his senior year in HS and he was kicking for the football team. He suffered a compound fracture and has required surgery. Please say a prayer for him. He is number one in his class and is taking classes at two high schools and one community college. This injury has done a number on him, and he could use your thoughts and prayers - as could Rhonda.

Take care and I will try to talk to you later!
