Melton Day of Prayer

I know the prayer lists of so many are so full. If you have a moment, please pray for Ellie. She is a precious 5 year old that underwent surgery for a large frontal lobe brain tumor on Friday. They are pretty sure the tumor is cancerous and she is already scheduled for another surgery to attempt the removal of more of the tumor. Her story touched my heart, and I felt compelled to pass the word along!

Another situation that is much on my heart and mind is the Hazrati (pronounced Hazrahtee) family. I met Heidi last October and I was encouraged by her strength and dignity in her battle with depression and very difficult circumstances in life. Her husband, Kayvan, was a Charlotte Mecklenburg police officer when he was disabled from a gun shot wound to the head a few years ago (they were engaged at the time). When Kayvan's recovery permitted, they were married. The trial of the shooter concluded recently and he received the maximum sentence (an appeal is inevitable). Kayvan endures constant pain each day. Currently he is undergoing hyperbaric chamber therapy (donated by the medical group) to aid healing from recent surgery, and hopefully provide relief from his constant pain. Heidi's blog is listed as one that I read often. Thank you for praying for Heidi and Kayvan.
