My brother pointed out that it was time to blog again, that the rain had stopped. Well, it had at that point in time, but then came Faye! I moved to NC in 1984, and I have never seen it rain like it did on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week! She really poured it on! School was cancelled on Wednesday - too many roads in Cabarrus County were impassable. Of course, I still had to work. :-(
About 7-8 roads were still closed this morning, but school went on as scheduled.

Mom and Dad arrived for a visit on Thursday of last week. They were on their way back to Florida. Jennifer, Jonathan and their 4 month old daughter came down on Friday - and we kept them up so late they had to stay the night! Everyone left on Saturday morning, but it was a nice visit. If you look closely you will notice 4 generations - Dorothy, Bethany, Jennifer, Ava!

J.R. and I were privileged to attend a Panthers Pre-Season game on Saturday night. It was my first time at the stadium, and I was impressed. Our seats were wonderful (thank you neighbor, Jim) and the Panthers man-handled the Redskins - so a good time was had by all! Go Panthers.School started for the boys on Monday - they were off on Wednesday, and they will be off on Labor Day! Rough start to the school year, huh?!
Well I want to post a couple of pictures and I will have to write more later! Love to all!
