Our weekend was busy - of course the boys had to go to school on Saturday AM because of the day they missed due to flooding. I went in to work for a couple of hours and then J.R. and I went to Dinner on Demand (a meal assembly store). After we checked out the consignment store next door, we returned home and put away our food. Matt and Mike were invited to Lincolnton for a Birthday party (our former pastor's son's 18th birthday). We enjoyed a good visit with them in their home, and then left with David to visit J.R.'s brother Mark and his wife and son who also live in Lincolnton. We stopped at KFC to bring them supper and had a good visit with them. It looks as if they will be losing their home in about 30-60 days. It has been several rough years for them, and they feel they have no other option than to let the house go. Their son Chris is a Senior in HS and this is going to be tough on them all.

We got home around 9:00 pm. J.R. and I had a nice talk on the way home. On a whim, and as a result of our talk, we skipped Sunday School and visited at First Baptist for worship. The three of us really enjoyed the service. We had lunch at the Pizza Hut buffet and left at about 1:30 pm to meet the boys in Huntersville to bring them home. Matt & Mike settled in with dad watching some "stuff" on T.V. I did some cleaning out of old files and monitored David doing his homework and then took David to church. It was the Royal Ambassador and Girls in Action awards night. We enjoyed a spaghetti supper and then celebrated with the families of these boys and girls. David and I got home about 8:00 pm. He continued his homework, and I cleaned out more files. And now it is Monday again! I pray you all are well! It would be wonderful to hear from you! - Bethany

Good to hear that you are feeling better and life is somewhat getting back to "normal" - whatever that is ;0).
