My hubby is sick. Dizzy, headache, sinuses....in general the crud. He is at work today and I hope he will be feeling better soon! Had a good day of worship and fellowship yesterday. Appreciated the sermon in the AM service and a chance to visit with friends during the Pinewood Derby at the PM service.
I was happy to read of the precious experiences my neice is having with her new baby - Sarah Grace! I wish we could be closer, but modern technology make her feel like she is not so far away as Thailand! I'm sure similar precious experiences are happening in Illinois with Rachel Elizabeth....oh to be young again!
I am grateful for my job this morning in a special way! As I pray for my brother Dwight in his vocational journey, and for my brother Dave as his work load increases, I also pray for my husband. So far, so good....but the industries that purchase rock from his company are hurting (construction, road repairs, etc.) and thus their business is hurting as well. As I shared in Sunday School on Sunday - May we learn (again) to take comfort in the fact the God is in control!
Life marches on - as my Matthew considers his college/career options, as my "great" neices (all four of them) begin their journey, as we age and face all the medical issues that didn't used to plague us, as my "baby" gets ready to turn 13, as I struggle to walk with my Lord - and each day brings us closer the day of Christ's return.
"People get ready, Jesus is coming, soon we'll be going home....."
